Maggie is an English Coonhound that walks with a limp due to being hit by a car. Maggie had been adopted out to the local pound as a happy and healthy girl, but was found 2 months later as a stray, eating duck food to survive. Maggie was brought back to the sanctuary, but had a horrible infection raging through her body, so bad that the vet thought Maggie might lose her leg! In the end Maggie got to keep her leg, and she is healed physically, but she does experience some pain occasionally. Maggie can be skittish under the right settings, and you can tell she was treated badly in the past. She is terribly afraid of thunderstorms, and will cower if you move too quickly towards her! Maggie is typical hound. She is goofy, loving and comical, and she absolutely LOVES food!
Please consider Maggie as your next family member.
