Percy is a Dachshund Mix that was born January 2nd, 2015, so she is 3 years old this year! Percy is a sweet, petite little girl that was dumped out in the country, hit by a car, and living on her own with a broken leg! Percy's broken leg had came out through the skin, and she was living like this for weeks, all alone. The other injuries were already healed and scarred over. Percy was brought to the Sanctuary by a family member who caught her eating from their trash several times, she was very hungry, very thin, and horribly scared. Percy has come a long way and although she ended up losing her leg (after several weeks of trying to save it) she has adjusted wonderfully to having three legs. Percy is very shy, but can adjust to new people in time, and she loves to play with the other animals! Percy is great with children and other dogs, and loves to cuddle on the couch! Percy is looking for a home that is willing to love her and her unique traits! Percy would love to be in a home with a fence so she can run and play!
**I wanted to say a special thanks to Dr. Hayes and the staff at Mt. Orab Veterinary Clinic for the great care and love they have shown to Percy while trying to save her leg!
Please consider Percy as your next family member.
